My poor students, they did not enjoy their new year party at all, in fact, only a few came!! Why? Cause my centre has been having cases of Hand Foot Mouth Disease! And one by one will infected. So the teachers, us, have free lessons for spring cleaning before the new year start! We were busy wiping things. Pencils, Pens, toys were all being wiped. And wiping clothes were instructed to be hang high up beyond the children reach. I can be shaking my leg during my "feeding lunch" duty as there were only a few children left. All the parents fetch their kids home after receiving the HFMD letter from us.
Expected still low attendance on Wednesday. I miss my students, especially the afternoon session. When they are around,at times i find them noisy and rowdy. But when they are not around, i miss their presence. Ohhh....... :(
Seriously speaking, people always comment that being a childcare teacher is easy, shaking leg business some may say. But NO, it is NOT. It is terribly tiring but it is "horrifying" rewarding! Only a childcare teacher knows what i mean. I really have no regret being a childcare teacher. I LOVE what i do! Is only this job makes me smile right from the heart whenever a child is happy. In my year 2007, i will concentrate on completing my teaching practice and longer planning.
By the way, i am being assigned to do the school's website (timeline not sure) and video-editing (June). I am confused whether to take up the task. I feel it is outside my jobscope as i want to concentrate on teaching. Anyone want to share some comments?
